Tie a yellow ribbon ~ Gingerloft challenge ~ DT Card

Well it's another challenge over at Gingerloft this time we are asking you to tie a yellow ribbon somewhere on your card, easy right. My image is called Lighthouse, I have coloured most of it with prisma pencils and sansodor and a little promarkers, the sky is chalks, you probably can't see from the photo, but I have added some clear copic atyou glitter pen to the sea and the light in the lighthouse it gives a subtle sparkle, I have used a spellbinders die to cut the image. The DP is from dovecraft, I have added some raffia and the yellow gross grain ribbon and 2 card candis to that, some blue and white seam binding and a wooden button and anchor charm and the photo corners finish it off. The sentiments come with the image.

CYDA challenge #21 ~ Dt Card

It's another challenge at CYDA, this time we want to see a Father's Day card or a card for a man. I am really in to men's cards at the moment, I have used a digi stamp boutique image called dad relaxing ~ dog, he is colored with promarkers and a little glaze on the dogs nose and the cup of tea, I have mounted onto light blue card and then hand sewn onto navy card. The DP is from Dovecraft, I have added a photo corner, some twine with a button and a love charm, some card candi and the word dad. The circle sentiment is from Hobby paleis

Anniversary card

This card is a request from my friend Rita, her friends are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary soon. They got married in a castle so she wanted that as a theme. I find myself being tested yet again lol.

I have used 2 images, the couple are from mami's doodles and the castle from squiggle stamps. I have coloured with a mixture of promarkers, sakura glaze and glitter pens and chalk, embellished with GD, the stamps on the image are from LOTV. The DP is from BO Bunny, I mounted the image on to some pink CS, added an organza ribbon, a heart charm then tied in a bow, I have added a doily and some flowers from dinkybutnice on ebay, the leaves are cut with my MS frond punch. The sentiment strip at the bottom is from pink petticoat, the special day ticket is from pink gem designs and the top sentiment is computer generated.

New Arrival

What a great morning, This is my brand new Niece, her name is Sorrel and she was born this morning in New Jersey USA. Congrats Jason & Neeta.

Grow your own

I have just bought a whole new batch of stamps and this is one of them, it's called Grow your own and I bought mine from Funky kits.

I have merged 2 stamps by masking the man and then stamping the fence from CC designs, I have colored using a mixture of promarkers, prisma's and chalks, i then mounted on to Kraft card and put 4 eyelets in the corners and added some twine. I then added some more twine, threaded through some buttons and a spade charm and tied in a bow. The sentiment is from TLC and the words dad are from my stash, i finished off with some card candi.

Wine stool Nikki

This is one of my favourite stamps, I just love her. She is called Winestool Nikki from Ladybug crafts ink. I have coloured her with promarkers, embellished with GD cut out with a nellie die and inked around the edge, then attached 2 glitter brads. I have added a doily ( really into these at the moment) and attached the flowers which are handmade by me using a punch and marianne dies, I have added some stickles to them as well. The DP is from Nan's nursery, I have stamped the words at the bottom using an Elzybells stamp and then attached some gorgeous ribbon to cover the seam.

Lulabelle

This is Lulabelle from the digistamp boutique. She is coloured with promarkers, prisma's and chalks and embellished with GD. The DP is from nitwits I have hand sewn this to some cream CS, attached some yummy cerise ribbon and tied in a bow, I also added some fancy ribbon to the bottom. I have used a doily and then mounted the image over this. The circle sentiment is from hobby paleis, the ticket from pink gem designs and I have finished off with some pearls.

Art from the heart

This card was a request from my friend Rita, she wanted an arty image and I struggled to find one, I finally found one by chance on Funky kits website. She is from Sugar Nellie and is called Art from the heart, you can buy her here.

I have followed the sketch at the sugar bowl and am entering this card.

I have colored her with promarkers, prisma's and chalks, I have also used a Magnolia step stamp for her to sit on. I then embossed some cream card with my graces frame folder and attached the image to this. The DP's are from nana's nursery, forever friends and daisy & dandelion. I used my MS doily punch for the border and added some white lace with gingham ribbon then attached a GD'd butterfly and added a dew drop to the centre. The flowers are from dinkybutnice on ebay, I used my MS frond punch for the leaves, the circle sentiment is from cats life press, the birthday sentiment is from TLC, I finished off with some flower card candi.

Badminton

This card is a request from my friend Eunice, and boy did I have trouble finding a Badminton image.

I have coloured him with promarkers and I drew the net behind him myself, it just gives some dimension, then mounted on to blue then cream card.
The DP is from printable heaven, I have used my MS zigzag punch at the top and added a computer generated sentiment strip, I then added some twine and 2 buttons and tied in a bow.
The 18th sentiment is from TLC, the circle one is from cats life press and the other one is computer generated by me. I finished off with some card candi and a photo corner.

Wee Babbie

Aaaaah don't ya just love the wee babbies at phindys place, sooooo cuuute.

This one is called free wheelin, i have coloured him with promarkers, prisma pencils and chalks and then i have hand sewn him to some blue card. The DP is from forever friends and I have sewn this to the same blue card stock, then added some blue stickles around the edge. I have added a doily to the side, some spot corners with card candi in the centre, the circle sentiment is from pink gem designs, and the bottom sentiment is from LOTV.

Golf ~ Father's day

I am sharing another Father's day card today. This is Golf Alf from the Digistamp boutique, he is coloured with promarkers and prisma pencils, and chalk for the sky, I have added a little sakura glaze to the golf ball, I have mounted onto kraft card. I also embossed some white card with a spots cuttlebug folder and cut out with a nellie circle die to make a big golf ball.. The DP is from Dovecraft, i have finished off with a photo corner, the sentiment on the giant golf ball is from a flippin men set and the other one is computer generated by me.

Gingerloft challenge ~ plant a tree ~ Dt card

This is my DT card for the Gingerloft challenge ~ Plant a tree.

I have used the image 'tree on hill' and printed on to Kraft card and then frames using a scallop die from sizzix. The DP is from Bo Bunny, I have added a scallop border with an x-cut punch and pricked a circle pattern and then attached some rafia, I then added the image. I have used a banner die and stamped dad on to this, and then printed happy birthday and cut out with my stampin up word window punch, I finished off with some black card candi.

Cupcake Glory

It's challenge time at Penny Black at allsorts, the theme is shape up and they are also having a DT call, so i am entering that as well. I have used a stamp called cupcake glory, I love this stamp, I have coloured him with promarkers and embellished with GD and sakura glaze pen then mounted on to blue card. The DP is from forever friends, I have punched a double border with my MS dot scallop punch and added some bakers twine to this, The sentiment circles are from my stash. I have finished off with some die cut stars, and heart shape buttons and a dew drop.

Music Lover

I created this card because 1) my friend requested it and 2) CYDA are having a music & dance challenge and a DT call, so as they say you have to be in it to win it lol.

So this is my card, the stamp is from the new Papermania nostalgia pastimes stamp set, I knew I had to have these as soon as I saw them, great value and great mens images. I have colored with promarkers and glazed the LP's and a little glitter pen for the strings on the guitar, then I added some punched musical notes.

I printed some musical notes paper on to some kraft card and distressed the edges, then curled over the top left corner, I have used a cuttlebug music embossing folder for the black card and attached the words music to this, I then used some natural webbing and some raffia to thread the M for music charm and the black button. I computer generated the sentiment and finished off with some card candi.

Bingo Crazy

This is for a friend of mine.

I have used a stamp from the flippin stamp range bingo. She is coloured with promarkers and glaze for her glasses. The DP is from printable heaven as is the £20 notes, the bottom border is made using a MS doily punch, I have then attached a lilac seam binding and tied in a bow, the rest of the sentiments are from the same stamp set, apart from the top one which is computer generated, I have finished off with some card candi and a punched flower.

This is for my dad for Father's day, He likes to think he is king of the grill lol.

Handmade envelope

 This is my first ever handmade envelope and I can't believe how easy it was. I have used black card and attached some raffia, beads and the large flowers, the sentiments are computer generated.

And this is the back, more beades and a freebie sentiment mounted onto an orange scallop.

This is a request from a friend Linda.

The DP is from my stash, I have used a cuttlebug music folder and mounted onto black card, the image I got from a clipart site and I printed this on to vellum and attached it to the card with crystal brads. I have added a black spot ribbon and tied in a bow, the sentiment is computer generated and I have finished off with some hand punched flowers and card candi.

Gardening

This is a stamp from paper nation, I managed to pick this up really cheap from ebay.

I have coloured him with promarkers and sakura glaze pen on his glasses and wellies, The DP is from K & Co, I have added a border in the middle and at the bottom and a sentiment strip at the top. Some buttons, a charm and card candi to finish, The message at the bottom is a stamp from flippin men.

New baby Girl

Aaaaah what a little sweetie, I just LOVE Mo's images, this one is called baby fairy flora, she is colored with promarkers and embellished with GD and stickles, The it's a girl border is computer generated by me, I then cut out with a nellie die, I have mounted onto a doily from crafty emma's, and added some pearls to the flower centres. The card is from my stash and I have hand stitched around the edge and stamped a check heart in the bottom corners, the circle sentiment is from pink gem designs, the bottom one is from pink petticoat, and I have finished off with a hand made ribbon flower using up all my off cuts.

I thought I would start and do some Father's Day cards. This chap is from Wild Rose Studio, he is colored with promarkrs and sakura glaze pens, then cut out with a nellie snellen die, I then threaded the twine through the holes aded a red pearl and fish charm, then tied in a bow. I embossed some blue card then cut out with a nellie die, the DP is from K & Co, I added a scallop border to the top and stamped the fish then added the sentiment.

LOTV anniversary

This is an image from LOTV called Bubble Bath. I have colored with copics and sakura glaze pens and added a little GD, then cut out with anellie die and GD'd round the edge. I have followed the sketch at pink gem designs and am entering this card. The DP is from pink petticoat, I have added some GD around the edge, I embossed some gols card and added a ribbon and pearl slider and then stamped the sentiment which is also from LOTV, The heart border I pricked with a template I have, and to this I have added some white and gold lace, I alsoused a marianne die for the fancy circle. I have finished off with some lovely flowers from Dinkybutnice on ebay and the leaves are punched using a MS punch.

My first Gingerloft Dt card ~ Under the sea

This is my first Gingerloft DT challenge post, and I am soooo excited I can't tell you.

This weeks challenge is 'under the sea', I have used mermaid scene. She is colored with promarkers and sakura glitter pens and the fish are glazed, I have used shimmer chalk to color the background, cut out with a spellbinders die and added stickles to the edge and sequins around the mermaid. I thought this DP was great for this challenge as it looks like bubbles in the sea. I have cut some swirls and a flower with my sizzix dies and added some dew drops and a glitter star, I glued the dew drops with stickles so there is a sparkle underneath. The scallop border was created with my MS punch and to this I have added some raffia with beads and a fish charm.
