A Bad Day

No card on this post just a tale about my bad day. I have been to the Doncaster Dome today for the stamp magic show, I haven't been before and wanted to experience one. I don't think they are for me really, there was a mad dash for everything and it reminded me of jumble sales my mum used to take me too when I was little. Everyone was pushing and shoving and staring at you when you had what they wanted in your hands, watching to see if you put it back, I don't like crowded places and maybe I thought it would be like a stroll through a market but no, and people were just clogging the stalls up taking pictures of the sample cards so you couldn't get near any of the stuff. Any way I spent about £50, mostly on the LOTV stand and by the time I decided enough was enough that stand was 4 people deep. Horrendous for me not my kind of day out at all, and when you work out the entrance fee and the petrol etc etc I'm wondering if it's worth it, and the prices weren't much cheaper than from the shops so I think I will just shop from home next time. I'm sure you will have an opinion on this and I would love to hear it.

Then I have come home drenched as it is chucking it down here in Sheffield, I havelogged on to my Gingerloft DT post and my picture has gone missing, what's all that about, so I have had to re load it back on, bizarre really.

Now I am back in my warm and cosy craft room admiring what I have bought.

  1. I have to agree with you Gaynor, I went to the Dome last year and said never again, I don't like any of the so called craft fairs Birmingham is awful too,I would much rather browse the internet in the comfort of my home.xxx

  3. It was the same at the NEC last December - you could hardly move and it was no fun at all. Shop from home and have the fun of waiting for the post man to arrive!

  4. Sounds like a bad day Gaynor!! Much better ordering from the internet or your favourite craft shop as you always purchase items that you never use or pay over the odds!!!! No fun Chanelle xxx

  5. Hi Gaynor,
You poor love! Sounds like you had a rotten day:(
I too hate crowded places but when it comes to craft shows, I go really early so there's not many, however I tend to stay to long and that is when it gets packed. And some people are really bad mannered pushing and shoving, I was forever saying sorry if they pushed into me but now I push back and just smile at them, and now they are apologising to me :)
Anyway I hope you have a great week :)
