Digi Doodle Shop - Design team card - Vintage

It's time for a brand new challenge at Digi Doodle Shop

it's team Ruth's turn to host

and we want to see vintage creations

I have decided to make a vintage Christmas card.

I have used an image called Christmas ornaments which can be purchased from Digi Doodle Shop here.

I decided to print on to Kraft CS and coloured in with Promarkers, Prisma pencils and a little sakura glitter pens, then added the gems, I matted to some cream CS and hand stitched around the edge, then frayed the edges. The DP is from my stash and this is frayed as well. The border was created using my EK success punch and I added some cream lace then the glittered up roses and pearls. The Doily is from my stash, I hand crocheted the flower and added a wooden snowflake and pearl to the centre.

Finished off with some more pearls and the poinsettia, the sentiment is from my stash.

The scent of a vintage rose

Well I am posting this on my new laptop and I think I need lessons lol. Talk about frustration.

It's this new windows 7, I'm used to the old windows XP lol. Can't fault the laptop though, it's great, wish I had bought one before now.

Anyway enough of my waffling. I have made this card for my friend Sheryl, it's her mums birthday soon. I have used this image from a day for daisies called the scent of a vintage rose, she is coloured in with promarkers and I added pearls to the center of the flowers, matted to some pink CS and hand stitched around the edge. The DP is from first edition and dovecraft, I added a doily, some lace, tulle, some hand made pins, photo corners and that gorgeous flower, with some big metal spacers and pearl brad and the charm dangling down, just love the way this card came out.

By the way I have learnt the basics of crochet and you will be seeing a flower I have made on one of my cards soon, I'm so excited I've been wanted to learn for ages as the flowers are so expensive to buy.

Vintage Lady

I'm not kidding it has been raining in Sheffield the whole of April and it's getting on my nerves now.

My dog Alfie doesn't like the rain and sulks when he has to go for a walk in it. My other dog Charlie loves it, talk about chalk and cheese lol.

This is a card I made for a friend for her mum who is 90 soon.

I don't know where the stamp comes from as I got these free images to play with when I bought a stamp from someone on Ebay, if anyone knows can you let me know because I want to buy them.

I have coloured with promarkers and sakura glitter pens, and embellished with GD. The BP is from Papermania. I used my MS punch to make the border and added some lace and seam binding tied in a bow. I added some feathers, handmade pins and flowers. The 90 is a sentiment from Ladybugcraftsink, the flower at the bottom left and that lovely metal spacer and pearl brad are from Lynne at the craft den.

I computer generated the top sentiment and finished off with some pearls.

Gingerloft Dt card ~ Vintage

It's challenge time again at Gingerloft, we want to see vintage.

for my card I have used Cello player, coloured with promarkers, I have used DP from my stash, matted to some cream and white card, added some lace and ruffled it, added a blue organza ribbon tied in a bow, and matted my image to some white glitter embossed CS, finished off with some pearls.

Vintage Lady

This card is again for my friend Linda, her mum is 90 soon and she wanted a card themed around playing cards, this was a tester because I didn't want to go too masculine with it. I have used a vintage lady and coloured her with promarkers and sakura glitter pens, then mounted on to black card and then red card. The DP is from Papermania. I have used my new marianne doily circle die ( loving this), printed some playing cards from a free clipart site and put these on the right, I have recycled some red velvet ribbon from a Christmas card, and finally added a flower and added a vintage button to the centre, I am quite pleased how it turned out as I always worry. I have just to add the sentiment and voila.
